•03/24/2010: New BLACK BREATH EP!
Seattles BLACK BREATH have stormed the scene with their uncompromising energy and infectious brutality. The band has played heavily alongside NACHTMYSTIUM, THE ACCÜSED, VICTIMS, TRAP THEM and tons more across the U.S. through 2009, and in November Southern Lord released the first recordings from the young act in the form of the potent "Razor to Oblivion" EP, creating a deafening buzz immediately. The next logical step, of course — a full-length BLACK BREATH release. They traveled to the opposite coast, shacking up at Kurt Ballous Godcity Studios (CONVERGE, TRAP THEM, DISFEAR) to create the 10-track jaw-dropper dubbed "Heavy Breathing", due out March 30 on Southern Lord. The massive album picks up where "Razor..." EP left off, infusing the bands rabid punk, metal and hardcore influences to create truly memorable hooks and buildups, yet incorporating more death metal influences this time around. The more brutal, metallic direction of "Heavy Breathing" is like a fired-up blend of POISON IDEA on a whiskey-soaked DISMEMBER bender... A top label priority for 2010, BLACK BREATH will assault the masses on a major scale this year, touring constantly. Down have set a March 23rd release date through E1 Music for their new live DVD/CD set, “Down – Diary Of A Mad Band“. The outing boasts over 130 minutes of live video footage, a documentary focusing on the band and their time spent together over the past few years, as well as a full live performance captured in London, England.

•3/03/10: ELUVEITIE Singer To Guest On STATUS MINO
Anna Murphy of ELUVEITIE will make a guest appearance on the forthcoming sophomore album from the Finnish progressive metal band STATUS MINOR, entitled "Ouroboros". She will lend her fantastic voice to the LP and play the part of the female character of the "Ouroboros" story. Due in September via Lion Music, the follow-up to 2009s "Dialog" is being recorded at Studio Audio in Jyväskylä, Finland with producer Torsti Spoof.
